After leaving her desk job and moving back to her hometown of Richmond, VA, Tyler Meacham spent 2018 writing & producing a scrappy new demo every month to share with her following online. Her vocally-charged, left-of-center pop music tells her story of falling down, getting back up, and finding her voice. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter turned indie pop front-woman makes her debut with an EP titled Property. Produced by collaborator & bass player Chip Hale, Meacham's original acoustic demos have taken on new life in the form of a standout record that fuses synth rock with indie pop and a dash of Americana ear candy simmering under the surface.

Since the release of their debut EP Disco Lovers in the fall of 2015, Moosetrap emerges as one of Richmond’s most sonically diverse rock acts. Members of the group, Chip, Hale, Nate Hubbard, Eli Hubbard, Daniel Blanchard, and Brandon O’Neill appear in numerous projects around the city, ranging in styles from soul and funk, to pop, alternative rock, and country blues. Whether it be through the band’s three-part guitar interplay, reminiscent of a mid to late 70’s Eagles lineup, or the layered harmonies you might expect to find on a Fleetwood Mac record, Moosetrap combines its varied influences into a cohesive Americana, roots-rock sound that challenges the sincerity of genre classification. With original songs anchored in folk storytelling traditions, as well as alternative-country lead lines and modern production techniques, Moosetrap remains active in and around the Richmond music scene as they prepare for the release of their debut full-length album.
