CRIS JACOBS BIO

Spanning rock, folk, soul and funk and drawing from inspiration that runs the gamut from the henhouse to the White House, Color Where You Are is a kaleidoscopic portrait of Cris Jacobs as a songwriter, musician and bandleader. It's the work of a devoted father and an empathetic member of the human race. More than that, it's a reminder that there's beauty to be found everywhere, if you just take a moment to color where you are.

"What am I trying to do with my music?" Jacobs muses. "The simple answer is this: I’m trying to connect with people. To express real-life human emotions and make people feel things. To connect my love of music with my love of writing and conjure up all of the joy and emotions that those things bring to me. To hopefully have people walk away feeling lighter or happier or more inspired to go do something after listening... I want to create a body of work that my family will be proud of one day, and to show that I had compassion to the human condition and wasn’t just a self-indulgent show off."

WOODY WOODWORTH BIO

Woody Woodworth and The Piners hail from Richmond, Virginia. Woody Woodworth is a singer-song writer that embodies the heart of Americana with his haunting melodies of love, loss, and the American spirit. With a rich background in music, Woodworth writes tales of the blue-collar working class that are easy on the ears and heavy on the heart. Woody Woodworth & The Piners were established in 2016. Their name comes from the bygone expression "to Pine" which is defined as a "deep longing for something or someone". Woodworth and The Piners fuse country, rock and roll, and bluegrass to create a simply southern sound.

In 2018 Woodworth released his debut album “Virginia”. Americana-Uk reviewed the album siting Woodworth as “seriously accomplished writer”. And of the album, “There’s something about his music that’s utterly convincing. He has that ache in his voice that imbues his every word with portent and meaning” defining it as “Excellent folksy Americana set that marks the emergence of a serious talent”.

TAVERNIER BIO

Tavernier started in the spring of 2018 as a songwriting project for a trio of longtime friends. Although they were mostly just looking for a way to get out of the house every now and then and make a little noise; Micah Berry, Alex McCallum, and Matt Hulcher quickly found that their songwriting and sound were fast becoming a cohesive yet unique blend of Bluegrass, Singer/Songwriter, and Americana music.
